Alumni

Founded in 1975, Crossroads Christian School is currently in its 33rd year as a private Christian elementary school. Soon a link on this page will take you to our new alumni mailings. We are hoping to have an Alumni Picnic next Summer. Look for more information early in 2010.

If you are a former student, or friend of Crossroads Christian School and would like to receive the newsletters, please let us know. Write us a note (address provided below), email us and let us know where you are. Helpful information would include your name, mailing address, and your year of graduation (or if you did not graduate with your class, tell us which year class you were a member of). We look forward to hearing from you!

Our Mission

Crossroads Christian School is a school that combines strong academics, Christian educators and a biblical world view.

Students

Students at Crossroads come from various communities throughout Portland, and Vancouver and 24% of the student body represents racial or ethnic diversity. While a good number of families are members of Crossroads Church, our student body is comprised of families that attend a number of other churches in the greater metro area.

Classroom

Students learn to think, write, and speak critically and independently. The curriculum integrates biblical truths with the core subjects of language arts (grammar, reading, writing), math, social studies (history and geography), math and science. Bible is also a core subject, and PE and music are important elements of the curriculum.

Campus

Beautifully located in Portland’s East County, Crossroads shares joint facilities with Crossroads Church. Crossroads Church and Crossroads Christian School are currently well into a $2,000,000 expansion project that will consist of additional classrooms, computer lab expansion and library expansion.

Athletics

Crossroads Christian School offers girls volleyball, boys/girls basketball and boys/girls track.

Crossroads Facts

Students in all grades participate in class service projects. CCS graduates have gone on to become valedictorians and salutatorians, college graduates, spouses and parents, youth pastors, worship ministers, musicians, and military personnel.

School Policy

Crossroads Christians School does not discriminate on the basis of physical handicap, race, creed, color or gender in the administration of its educational policies, admissions, financial aid, or other school programs.

All Crossroads students wear uniforms starting in pre-school through 8th grade.

Uniforms provide an opportunity to build school spirit and focus on self-esteem. They remind students that they are a part of God’s team, and focus students on inner quality versus external appearance.

Approved uniform pieces are available through Dennis Uniforms, GAP, and J.C. Penney Uniform Department. Our dress code provides an affordable, quality selection featuring our school colors of burgundy, navy blue and light blue.
